Clocking in at over 3 hours of audio plus a sizable pile of extras The Complete Shmopera is a 3-year long labor of love, drink and far too much silliness that I’m really proud to have been a part in. Chronicling the adventures of the Captain and the Spacebot, this not so serious homage to all things Shmup was recorded for a month every March for the last 3 years to celebrate the now legendary International Shmupreciation Month (ISM). After being surprised at the fact that all this craziness turned out really rather good it seemed like a really good idea to put it all together, remix and master into one beautiful digital package.

For those of you thinking about a purchase, here’s what you’ll get:

-All three years of the Shmopera, fully remixed and remastered.
-A special After Hours episode where we discuss the Shmopera.
-A set of three wallpapers of The Captain, Spacebot and Meat Cleaver.
-A short video look at us making the Shmopera Level 3. Mostly, you can see me make a total fool of myself (Hilden).
-Three demo tracks that show works in progress of some Level 3 songs.
-A track of unreleased demos that didn’t make it into the Shmopera with some commentary by Hilden.
-Lyric Sheet of all the Shmopera songs. For sing-a-longs, mostly.

The cost for all this is a mere $10.00 donation to DGR. Hit the banner up at the top of main page to start the process. Be sure to check out the preview tracks as well.

As always, thanks for listening and we appreciate your purchase of The Complete Shmopera!

ZomBOOsical!!!

Last year I helped write and record the ZomBOOsical with the guys over at Robotpanic.com (Drunken Gamers Radio) whilst staying over in Minneapolis with them. Totalling in at 30 tracks of music and story, the ZomBOOsical is an interesting album that is as funny as it is varied, covering a variety of styles and genres and wacky characters.

We’re all insanely proud of what we accomplished in just a few weeks of recording and mixing. You can click the logo to purchase the ZomBOOsical for the measly donation of $10. And here’s a couple of samples of what you’ll be getting:

Bright Shadows and Dark Light

“Bright Shadows and Dark Light” is the title of the album that I’m working on. The initial concept for the album came about around mid-2008 and I started seriously writing in early-2009. Currently I’ve written rough’s for 4 songs and have another 6 in the ‘very early ideas’ stage.

The album will be an instrumental covering a variety of styles including Rock, Fusion, Blues, Jazz and Metal. As I’m a one man band I’ll be recording all the instruments and parts unless I can bribe some better musicians to help out later on ^_^

Current Tracklist:

1: Giant Enemy Pyramid – Written, rough recorded

2: Attack Phase - Concept stage

3: Ready… Set… BOOOST! – Concept stage

4: Song 4 – Concept Stage, No title yet

5: Bright Shadows – Written, rough recorded

6: Dark Light – Initial Concept

7: Daybreak - Partially written, rough recorded

8: Song 8 – Initial Concept and riffs no title yet

9: Lowfish – Initial Concept

10: Everything I Am – Written, rough recorded
